Bought this as a gift for my friend , he like it because it looks good, exactly like in the photo however the material is fade kinds quick, but overall it s okay.It won’t spark. Tried everything and it does nothing. For a lighter, it’s just a pain. Resorted to the Bic as it works.I was expecting a nice lighter for $30 but it feels weak in my hand and lighter doesn't light up. I got the Buddha zippo and am returning it asap. if you want a nice zippo, keep looking., this is not it.Did I receive a lemon? Could be. But it is disappointing.The laughing Buddha (Budai) is pretty much glued on the zippo. Gold color plated gets faded after few uses (keeping in pants pocket) and it looks beat up already.It’s a gift so I can’t return it, but I think everyone should take a note on how it would end up after a short time period of usage.One of my favorite designs on a Zippo lighter since the Buddha is carved/engraved metal as opposed to some stickers or artwork simply drawn on the lighter. The light brown toffee color is beautiful to look at, especially when you hold it in the right angles during the day. Adding to the color is the look of brushed aluminum and it really shines as it not only looks classy and quality but if you get any scratches on the lighter it will not show easily unless you're scrutinizing it. One small quirk I had was that the cap, cover or lid (whatever you want to call it) is flimsy feeling and doesn't shut tight as you can still budget it a little bit. But other than that, this is a great lighter I can recommend to friends and don't forget to buy some lighter fuel along with it!Love it, bought this to keep one me for just in case purposes. I don't smoke but you never know when you need a small flame. Always high quality with zippo and the buddha only adds to the uniqueness of this particular lighter.I don’t often need a lighter, but I saw this Buddha zippo and all the buddhist wisdom of non-attachment went right out the window. Had to have it! It’s a really beautiful lighter, and last night while enjoying a pipe and cigars with friends, I asked them to give me the honor of using my new zippo. They did, and then each remarked on how cool it looked. I have a feeling I’ll be getting a lot of compliments on it from folks when I pull it out. It’s really that nice. So glad I bought it.This is the first time I've purchased a Zippo, though I've known them to be cool since middle school. I just never took the plunge until now.I bought it as a gift for my Chinese brother-in-law, an avid smoker and a Zippo admirer. I love the style (but if you don't, there are endless other zippos to pick from!) and the quality is excellent. The product came packaged nicely and was sealed. Be sure to have some lighter fluid on hand as it will need to be filled. I will probably buy more Zippos in the future as they make a great gift for my difficult-to-shop-for, chain-smoking, male in-laws.Bought this as a Christmas gift. Buy with confidence!This lighter was bought for the husband as he requires a lighter to repair strings and other items on his archery equipment. It is light, small and easy to use. He has told me several times that it was a good buy .
